BIRGIT BORNEMANN | Fotografin, Film- und Installationskünstlerin

Die in Norderstedt lebende Künstlerin rückt in ihren Arbeiten das Unbeachtete in den Mittelpunkt: Details, das Alltägliche und der Zufall werden bei ihr künstlerisch überformt. 
Ihre Motive hält Bornemann mit der Kamera in Foto und Film fest, wobei sie auch deren Materialität schätzt und nutzt. Durch Überlagerung der Aufnahmen erschafft sie lyrisch abstrahierte Darstellungen. Ihre Arbeiten entstehen grundsätzlich auf Fotopapier (PE, Baryt und Fine Art), im Einzelfall in Kombination mit Zeichnungen. 
Bornemanns jüngere Werke beziehen durch Projektion und Installation den Raum und seine Untergründe mit ein, wobei ihr Poesie und Intensivierung des betrachtenden Blickes ein großes Anliegen sind.

Bornemann captures motives with the camera on photo and on film, besides, she estimates and deplois their materiality. By stratification the pictures she creates lyrically abstracted representations. Their works originate basically on photo paper (PE, Baryt und Fine Art), in particular cases in combination with drawings.
Bornemann younger works make the motives also on other subsoil obviously. By the projection of their photos, she emphasizes the space and often also deals with his history. Poetic-critical works originate which seduce the viewer to intensify the own look.
